TROY, Mich., Oct. 07, 2016 -- William L. Hooth has been named as a 2017 Best Lawyer in America in the area of Labor Law - Management.
Mr. Hooth concentrates his practice in the areas of labor and employment law. His practice includes all aspects of labor and employment law including NLRB proceedings, civil rights and wrongful discharge litigation, contract negotiations, arbitration, and union election campaigns. He represents employers in both the private and public sectors.
Mr. Hooth began his career at General Motors in labor relations, then moved to Burroughs where he was the Managing Labor Counsel, representing Burroughs in both the domestic and international areas before moving to private practice in 1975. He is one of the founding members of the firm.
Mr. Hooth has represented clients at all levels, including companies such as Burroughs/Unisys, Masco/MascoTech (Metaldyne), Atlas Copco, Inc., R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company, and Flex-N-Gate, Inc. in employment matters.
Mr. Hooth is a graduate of the University of Michigan, and received his JD degree from the University of Michigan.
